REGIONAL ARTS PROGRAM – FAQ

Q. Where are the scheduled bus stops?

A. Busing routes are determined each year based on the needs of the majority. Students are expected to be at their designated group stop 5 minutes before pick up time. Walking distances of 10 minutes or up to 700 meters should be expected.  No door to door pickups will be considered in the efforts of minimizing the bus route.

Q. May I take the school bus to an alternative destination after school (for a part-time job or  extracurricular activity, etc.)?

A. Yes. You may board any Next Stop bus to get as close to your alternative destination as possible, as long as it’s en route and there is space available.

Q. How will I know my stop location and time?

      A. Busing details will be emailed to parents in August.

Q. Is one way service available?

A. Yes. One way service will be considered only after full riders are accommodated and if there is space left.  The fee for one way riders will be 70% of the full cost.

Q. What if I have multiple children who require the bus?

A. A discount of $100.00 will be applied to the second application in the same family.

Q. Are there arrangements for late busing after school?

A. Late bus service (including routes & cost) are determined based on ridership; Next Stop will not run a late bus if the minimum number of riders is not achieved. Inquire for further details.
